Overview

Waveform is a Louisiana based manufacturing company specializing in commercial and residential pool and spa cleaning equipment. Their US patented technology revolutionizes pool maintenance while facilitating water conservation. After years of painstaking research and development, Waveform launched it’s first residential pool cleaner, Stingwave.

Outpost was tasked with solving two main challenges. First, the name and identity had to promote authority and credibility – positioning Waveform as an established and knowledgeable brand in a fast growing market sector. Second, it was important to differentiate them from basic pool cleaners – in a highly fragmented market not renowned for its stability or corporate maturity.

Forming the design principles

After an extensive design consultation with the client, we settled on the solid creative platform of basing all brand and digital assets around the principles of progress, conservation, and simplicity. This would cement the company’s position as an innovative and beneficial product for homeowners. It also gave them the confident and assured brand identity they needed to position themselves as an established and reliable company that customers can trust and rely on, rather than just another pool cleaning product.

Forming an educational shopping experience

Waveform required a website that accurately reflected their brand identity, showcased their product effectively, and provided a seamless user journey. The website needed to be both visually appealing and highly functional, capable of handling a large volume of product information and customer traffic. The home page utilizes a sticky scrolling product feature section that educates the customers about the product differentiators and key benefits.

Optimized for mobile

With simplicity at its core, the design language was perfectly optimized for mobile use. We carefully selected colors, typography, and 3D product imagery that reflected the brand's premium quality and craftsmanship. The design was optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable experience across all platforms.
